Where renewable energy and biodiversity meet.

Scaling clean energy without leaving nature behind takes more than good intentions. We build the relationships and strategies that make both possible.

Who we are

Wagtail Collective is an engagement and strategy practice working at the intersection of renewable energy and nature in Australia.

Through stakeholder engagement, facilitation and strategic communications we help our partners build trust and find solutions that are good for industry, communities and the environment.

Australia needs to rapidly scale renewable energy to meet its climate commitments,  but not at the cost of the nature we're trying to protect. Renewable energy developers are spending millions repeating the same environmental studies, scientists are watching data sit siloed and biodiversity outcomes aren't improving.

At its core, this is a coordination challenge. Australia does not lack effort, ambition, research or investment in this space, but the work is siloed.

Wagtail Collective is currently convening a national co-design process to establish a first-of-its-kind cross-sector research institute at the intersection of renewable energy and biodiversity.
